User Dante Amorphic at PFD.com reported seeing a coming soon for one of these in Cedar Hills.

Their website confirms it.

I have eaten at Five Guys numerous times and my experience has been they have a pretty good burger. It is nothing spectacular and I find In-N-Out's burgers to be far superior. However Five Guys' fries are KILLER!

I've eaten at Five Guys almost every time I'm in DC, and they're terrific. The patties are equal to In'n'Out (I know Five Guys grinds their own daily, hope they do that here), but the range of toppings puts them way ahead in the pantheon of kitchen sink burgers. The fries are better by far at Five Guys, but they don't have shakes. Regardless, I'll be there on opening day unless they'rs some sort of mass hysteria about the opening.

I wonder if it is going into the space that Blockbuster vacated when they downsized? This is in my 'hood so I'll definitely be trying it.

It's right on the northwest corner of that same building (I think).
For more directional references, the southeast corner of CHB and Walker. I saw the signage while at the office max yesterday and wondered about it myself. Didn't get close enough to see if it was open/close to opening or what exactly.

I think they've been hiring for about a month/ 6 weeks now, so wouldn't doubt they are pretty close to opening.

Do they have a veggie burger patty or just a veggie sandwich? It seemed unclear from the web menu.

I like a good condiment-ed, topping-ed veggie burger with fries. Meat patties don't do it for me.

I haven't seen that option on the DC menus yet; the place is highly beef centered. I'm not averse to other patties, and I mourn the passing of the Spicy Black Bean Gardenburger patty at Burgerville. That new vegetarian patty at BV is awful, very reminiscent of the early commercialization of alternatives.

The 5G menu looks pretty damned tasty  . Probably enough so to get me to head to Beaverton, which I don't normally do.

Which are better, their regular or Cajun fries? I think Mr P & J and I will have to check them out. The condiments sound great. Are the onions dipped in a batter and fried or simply grilled? Either way, I'm there.

Maybe we should do a meat-up there. Ha.

The onions are grilled with a little seasoning, but the great thing is they're caramelized. I prefer the Cajun fries, it's a good peppery but not overwhelming seasoning, but the regular fries are great as well. I do carry on about the onions, but I can't abide most raw or undercooked grilled onions, must be due to my Midwest heritage where they always have a huge pile of diced on the grill in varying states.

I'm great with a meetup when they open, we can share the fries. Several orders.

The only fast(er) food place that comes close here in town is George's Giant Hamburgers in Tigard (11640 SW Pacific Hwy.,Tigard, 503-639-8029) ; they grind their own as well. Okay, the only one I'm aware of, but prove me wrong and I'll be happy.

I like Georges. you dont find much better thats faster! that being said, dont confuse Georges with Giant burger in lake grove! the absolute worst/dirtiest/vile place i have ever seen! greasy undercooked everything and a thick layer of scuz on everything. utterly gross! be warned!

I drove by last night and the place is empty, but there were construction trucks outside so it looks like they're just getting started on the construction. I'm in that area once or twice a week so I'll keep my eye on the space.

well if its a preexisting shell, and all they are doing is TI work, it could be a matter of a few weeks. Or months, depending on the contractor

We were in the area today and dropped by, they were training staff inside and a sign on the window announced they're opening Monday 10/20 at 11 AM. It's on the north side of the strip mall next to OnPoint Credit Union.

They're open 7 days a week, 11AM - 10PM.

Stopped by for lunch today. Their Hamburger ($4.49) is a two patty burger, the Little Hamburger ($3.39) is a single patty. Regular order of fries ($2.69) fills two 8 oz styrofoam coffee cups.

Alll burgers are made to order. When you order your burger you need to specify which toppings you want - they're all free and include grilled onions, jalapenos and grilled mushrooms as well as the standard lettuce, tomato, ketchup, etc.
I'd rate the burger as comparable to Burgerville. The fries were nothing special - not as crisp as McDonalds, K&Z's, etc. unfortunately - but not soggy or greasy.

Menu has hamburger, cheesburger, bacon burger, bacon cheeseburger as well as hot dogs, cheese dogs, bacon dog, bacon cheese dog. Oh, and they also list a veggie or grilled cheese on the menu. Drinks are Coke products, self serve. No shakes, malts, onion rings, etc.

They do have free peanuts in the shell for munching as you wait for your order to be made.

I also made it for lunch today. Place is super clean, I am sure a lot of that is more new than anything but still nice.

I loved my burger and would rate is higher than Burgerville, seemed to be a much better overall burger than I have in this area in a long time.

The fry order is way to large.

Nice place and one that I will add to my local rotation.

judging by their prices, this better be one damn good burger!? is it considerable better then anyother fast food burger? because at like 8$+ for a burger and fries, there are numerous "real" restuarants doing excellent burgers(granted mainly on HH) for the same money or even less.....

I wouldn't compare it to a fast food burger at all. If you want a burger, fries, and indigestion for $4, your choices are many. If you want to compare it to say, the higher priced burgers at Carl's, Five Guys is way ahead of them. Closest comparison in Portland (that I've found) is George's in Tigard. As has been mentioned, the order of fries is way too big for one person, it could feed two or three normal adults as a side.

And don't forget the bacon-cheese kosher dog!
